How we brew beer
The main principle that the entire production process obeys is constant quality control.

We cultivate
We cultivate, collect and select the best grains that have grown in their fields. We send it to your malt potatoes to cook better the wort.

Cook the wort
We take water and malt. Mix in a trowel vat and bring to a boil. Add hops. Cook Filtrate, add yeast and send for fermentation.

Spill beer
The brewery in Uman was founded in 1878 by local merchants Frenkel, Bergelson, Rutchicher and Ettinger.

At the Uman Brewery, the technological process is built according to the scheme: the best quality raw material + best equipment = live beer. Umansk beer is consistently of high quality. For, In order to prevent unsuccessful parties, we carefully monitor each production area.

Umansk Brewery, probably the only one in Ukraine that grows barley for its own needs. Thus, we have the opportunity to select a particular grade with the best characteristics quality rather than using the raw material offered by sellers.

From our own barley, we cook our own malt. So do some breweries in Ukraine. Add it aromatic hops, as our experts are sure. Water uses artesian, crystal clear. For brewing beer, the Uman Brewery uses a certain secret race yeast For many years, this race gives a stably good result.

We use the best raw materials and work on modern equipment to brew natural live beer. The secret of the perfect taste of our drinks is constant quality control at every stage of production.

Selected Ingredients

The main pride of the company "Umanpivo" is its own fields for growing barley and wheat, and bee apiaries for its natural honey. To brew good Uman beer, we personally grow malting barley for malt production at our malt house.

For the fermentation of our beer, we use a special secret race of yeast, which for many years gives a consistently good result.

Beer brewing takes place using a special patented system of “gentle boiling of wort with hops” (a patented development by the German company Apparatebau Nordhausen GmbH). This is a joint development of our technologists and specialists from Germany, which guarantees an extraordinary taste and allows us to preserve the natural properties of beer.

German equipment

All equipment for the production of beer and lemonade at the Uman brewery is of German production.

Inside the cylindrical-conical tanks (CCT), the fermentation and fermentation processes of beer take place under sterile conditions, which allows to maintain the pure taste and quality of the final product, as well as to increase the durability of the finished beer.

Special CIP (clean-in-place) stations guarantee the highest quality of the process of washing, cleaning and disinfecting all the equipment, starting from crushing the malt to prepare the mash to the bottling of finished products. At the same time, the equipment does not need to be disassembled or opened - the whole process is fully automatic and controlled with the help of modern software.

German technology and control

In 2008, Umanpivo began a fruitful cooperation with German equipment manufacturers, who shared with us various recipes for preparing traditional beer and now continue to provide us with their professional advice in brewing technologies.

Today, Umanpivo also produces premium German beers. Once every 3-4 months a German brewing expert arrives at our plant, who conducts an audit and monitors compliance with all technological processes of beer production.

No chemistry

Our position remains unchanged - we consciously and in principle do not use any dyes, stabilizers or preservatives in the production of beer. Only natural ingredients of the highest quality, which due to natural fermentation turn into fragrant intoxicating gold.
