How we brew beer
The main principle that the entire production process obeys is constant quality control.
We cultivate
We cultivate, collect and select the best grains that have grown in their fields. We send it to your malt potatoes to cook better the wort.
Cook the wort
We take water and malt. Mix in a trowel vat and bring to a boil. Add hops. Cook Filtrate, add yeast and send for fermentation.

We use the best raw materials and work on modern equipment to brew natural beer. The secret to the perfect taste of our drinks is constant quality control at every stage of production.

Selected Ingredients

The main pride of the Umanpivo company is its own fields for growing barley and wheat, bee apiaries for its natural honey. In order to brew good Uman beer, we personally grow brewing barley for the production of malt in our malt house.

For fermentation of beer we use a special secret race of yeast, which for many years gives a consistently good result.

Brewing takes place according to a special patented system of “gentle boiling of wort with hops” (a patented development by the German company Apparatebau Nordhausen GmbH). This is a joint development of our technologists and specialists from Germany, which guarantees an extraordinary taste and allows you to preserve the natural properties of beer.

German equipment

All equipment for the production of beer and lemonade at the Uman brewery is German-made.

Inside the cylindrical-conical tanks (CCT), the processes of beer fermentation and fermentation take place under sterile conditions, which allows to maintain the pure taste and quality of the final product, as well as to increase the durability of the finished beer.

Special CIP (clean-in-place) stations guarantee the highest quality of the washing, cleaning and disinfection of all equipment - from crushing malt for mash preparation to bottling of finished products. At the same time, the equipment does not need to be disassembled or opened - the whole process takes place completely automatically and is controlled using modern software.

German technology and control

In 2008, fruitful cooperation between Umanpivo and German equipment manufacturers began. They shared with us various recipes for preparing a traditional foamy drink, and now continue to provide their professional advice on brewing technologies.

Today, Umanpivo also produces premium German beers. Once every 3-4 months, a German brewing expert comes to our brewery, who conducts an audit and monitors compliance with all technological processes of beer production.

No chemistry

Our position remains unchanged: we consciously and fundamentally do not use any dyes, stabilizers or preservatives in the production of beer. Only natural ingredients of the highest quality, which, due to natural fermentation, turn into aromatic hop gold.
